Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 pricing and launch date revealed

Yesterday, we shared the leaked specs sheet of Samsung’s upcoming tablet. The Galaxy Tab S3 is an Android Nougat tablet with an S Pen and pogo pins for a hardware connection to a keyboard. Today, an early listing on the website of UK retailer John Lewis reveals the expected price for the device, which is the hefty £600. Ouch!

The tablet is expected to be officially unveiled by Samsung later today, but since John Lewis is one of the biggest department store chains in the UK, we’d say the listing is credible. The price in British pounds translates to $750 or €700 – and that’s for the Wi-Fi only model.

The vendor states the device is “Coming soon” with stocks expected on April 7, which could be the launch date for Continental Europe as well.

We remind you that Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 reportedly has a 9.7” screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution and is powered by Snapdragon 820. The OS is Android 7.0 Nougat and the device should come with S Pen as accessory, though there’s no dedicated slot inside the body for it like there is on the Galaxy Note smartphones.
