Mi Mix successor already in the works, confirms Xiaomi CEO

Less than four months after Xiaomi announced the Mi Mix, the Chinese company has confirmed that it's working on the successor to the device (allegedly dubbed Mi Mix II). The confirmation came in the form of a Weibo post from none other than the company's CEO Lei Jun.



Here's the complete post (translated): "Today, I am pleased to meet again with international design master Philip Stark, who introduced me the design concept of millet MIX next generation, and then we both will continue to explore how to make these exciting innovations as a reality The product. Come on, millet!"


It's clear from the post that the Mi Mix successor is being designed by French designer Philippe Starck, who also helped design the original model.

Nothing much is currently known about the Mi Mix II in terms of specs except for some rumors that Xiaomi is aiming for a 93% screen-to-body ratio this time, and is working on a design where-in the device's front is entirely covered with display.

Updated Google Contacts app makes it easier to get rid of duplicates

Google is pushing out an updated version of its contacts management app, bringing some of the features available in the web version to the Android app. The v 1.5 update reorganizes the user interface of Google Contacts. Instead of the two tabs – all and favorites – the app now just displays your entire contact list, with a sidebar menu available via the hamburger button on the left. Opening that up reveals a new section for managing duplicate contacts. LG showcases new rollable 65” OLED display

LG Display used CES 2018 in Las Vegas to officially unveil its new OLED displays - one of them being a 65-inch 4K flexible screen that can be rolled like a newspaper. The other is an 88” 8K OLED panel that we told you about last week. The flexibility of the 65” OLED display makes it easier to transport or store in the corner.
