The ZTE Blade V7 Lite has a fingerprint sensor and the Blade V7 doesn’t
Normally,
the modifier “Lite” denotes that a device lacks something the original version
of the device has. Be it in dimensions or in features, the Lite version just
doesn’t have it — a Lite version doesn’t normally add features.
ZTE
cut the trend at MWC with the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite. Take a look at the
table below and you’ll notice some funny differences going on.

Some
other delineating features that can’t be charted:
• The Blade V7 has a curved back which
results in its thinnest edge standing at 3.5mm
• Both phones have 2.5D glass
• The Blade V7 gets a special Smart
Sense gesture control function as well as ARKAMYS-enhanced sound and USB OTG.
• The Blade V7 Lite is unlike the V7 in
that it lacks all of the above while sporting a fingerprint sensor. It also has
a microSD slot.
• Sadly, it seems only the Blade V7 will
be updated from time to time with “firmware-over-the-air” listed as a feature.
The
Blade V7 will be in Germany, Spain, South Africa, Ethiopia and Mexico over the
summer. Russia will have the Blade V7 Lite first before coming to Mexico,
Spain, Germany and Thailand in the spring.
It’s
a little confusing, we know, but as always, more details will come soon enough.
